The Department of the Interior (DOI) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) made the announcement on May 11, 2020. With the signing of the Record of Decision (ROD) for Solar Partners XI, LLC, the construction of a 690 – MW photovoltaic solar electric generating facility and ancillary facilities near Las Vegas, Nevada. Not only will this plant become the largest in the Untied States, but it will be close to the eighth largest in the entire world! Plan Projections
The project will be set into two phases in the coming two years. First phase bringing in a starting 440 MW of solar energy to Nevada. Second phase will bring in the remaining generating components for another 250 MW.
